Last updated: 1 April 2025
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using MyMedicalCertificate ("Platform", "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable Indian laws. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and MyMedicalCertificate.
2. Nature of Service
MyMedicalCertificate is a teleconsultation platform that connects patients with licensed medical professionals for the purpose of issuing medical certificates via video consultation. Our service:
- Is provided in accordance with the Telemedicine Practice Guidelines 2020 (MCI/NMC)
- Does NOT replace in-person medical care for acute or emergency conditions
- Is suitable for routine certificate issuance and minor consultations only
- Does NOT provide emergency medical services — call 112 or visit the nearest hospital for emergencies
3. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old. Minors may use the service with parent/guardian consent and presence during consultation
- You must be located in India at the time of consultation
- You must provide accurate, truthful information about your health condition
4. User Obligations
- Provide accurate personal, medical, and identity information
- Be present and available at your scheduled consultation time
- Not use medical certificates obtained for fraudulent purposes
- Not share your account credentials with others
- Not attempt to obtain certificates for conditions you do not have
- Not misrepresent yourself as another person
Providing false information is a violation of these Terms and may constitute fraud under the Indian Penal Code. We reserve the right to revoke certificates and report to authorities if fraud is detected.
5. Doctor Independence
Doctors on our platform are independent medical professionals. They exercise their own clinical judgment and are not obligated to issue a certificate if they determine it is not medically warranted. MyMedicalCertificate does not direct doctors in clinical decision-making. If a doctor declines to issue a certificate, you are entitled to a full refund.
6. Certificate Validity
Certificates issued through our platform are:
- Signed by a registered MBBS/MD doctor
- Compliant with Telemedicine Practice Guidelines 2020
- Generally accepted by employers, colleges, and government offices
However, specific institutions may have their own requirements. We do not guarantee acceptance by any particular employer, RTO, court, or government body. For Form 1A, check with your local RTO for their specific requirements.
7. Payments & Refunds
All payments are processed securely by Razorpay. Pricing is as listed on our Pricing page. Refund conditions are described in our Refund Policy.
